Getting back in the game, slowly but surely:
After the acceptance of "Your last word on earth" at Star*Line a few days ago, I'm pleased to have heard just this afternoon that "Plague Year" has been accepted for publication at Barking Sycamores. I'm not sure whether to call these the first two acceptances of the New Year considering that one of them technically happened in December, but I feel as if they're both 2015-ish things, so we'll go with that.

I just need more new drafts than I currently have *fingers crossed*

Congratulations! (I am keeping my fingers crossed for a similar trend of producing, submitting, and selling my own new work in 2015.)

How have things been going with your novel, I mean sales-wise?

I actually don't have much of an idea. Publishing moves so slowly that it takes a long time to get data, and the resources I have access to (basically just Amazon Author Central) don't track e-book, independent bookstore, or school and library sales. Since my publisher is most active in the school and library markets, I think I'm missing a lot of information. (I've also been trying not to pay too much attention to the numbers, because I think it makes me frantic and unable to focus on the writing.) My only goal in terms of sales, honestly, is to sell enough that I'll be able to find a publisher for future books, and I have no idea what number would allow that to happen.

I don't think I've ever asked before, but what is that in your icon?

It's Van Fanel, from one of my favourite anime, Escaflowne.

Huzzah! Congratulations!

I'm just not drafting quite enough new verse right now. Need to step that up.
