Not dead, just editing!
I'm managing two sets of submissions this month, and submissions to both journals come due on January 31st: Dark Mountain and Strange Horizons. If you have anything you think you might like to send for my consideration in either case, please do! Eighteen more days.

I have a lot to post about, largely regarding how the 2012-to-2013 New Year's transition offered the finest party I've attended in ages.

(But right now, I'm preoccupied. Not a bad thing, mind.)

OK, one of my resolutions this year is to step out of my comfort zone...what is the submission format for the journals?

I've linked to the guidelines pages above in the post for each :) Formatting and everything is explained. For Dark Mountain, it's much looser: just attach a file in any format you like. For Strange Horizons, though, it's more specific, so read the guidelines page carefully.

Thank the god(s) of your choice that at least a good party turned up in these troubled times... =)

It was just the party I needed. And so was the convention I was part of this weekend just past!

I'll have to see if I can find something for one or other of those publications. :)

Hooray for good parties!

Hurrah! I look forward to reading them.

I'm glad you've been able to keep busy!
Can't wait to hear about the party! The tweets were amusing. :)

Heh, the tweets of the night belonged to Anna. Oh, God, the hilarity...

I don't think I have anything to suit Dark Mountain, but it does look fascinating. Enjoy pouring through all the submissions!

That party sounded like quite the event;)

That party plus Arisia this weekend just past really did my brain (and my heart) some good!

Okay, just sent a poem to Strange Horizons. Let's see what comes of it.

Me and my co-editors look forward to considering it!

Just sent my first sub to Strange Horizons :)

Dom, thank you - however, I'm rather distressed at the fact that your submission seems not to have come through on the listserv, hmmm. Can you please send it a second time to poetry[at]strangehorizons[dot]com and also CC it to ajodasso[at]gmail[dot]com? Terribly sorry about this. The submissions system has been having some epic strops recently; we lost a lot of November submissions this way (and we're only learning this now because the more-than-8-week queries are pouring in).

I just it out again, Adrienne. And no worries. Thanks very much for letting me know. Any idea why the system hasn't been receiving the submissions? Is it demonstrating problems with a specific account? (Mine is hotmail)
