People's Book Prize & Poetry Collection Give-Away
The good news is, I've come through my week of swine flu more or less unscathed (well, no, that's not true; I've lost some weight). I'm trying to get my bearings re: what I've lost track of/fallen behind on, and the answer would be, surprisingly, everything but the PhD thesis revisions. The poetry reading on Wednesday went very well, in spite of the fact that my throat was raw; a friend of mine has blogged about it here, as it was her first experience with a poetry reading.

A couple of items for your perusal, decidedly linked:

* I'm now in third place in the People's Book Prize runnings for this qualifying round. As long as I stay in the top three, I think I'm safe and get to move on into the final round this summer. I'm behind now by 66 votes, and while I don't know if I can recoup that many by 28 February. So, if you've read my collection and wouldn't mind voting for it, please do so!

* I have one spare copy of my poetry collection hanging about from the reading the other night. Anyone who agrees to blog about the People's Book Prize can have this copy. Just comment letting me know that you're going to blog about it, PM or email me your address, and I will send you said copy of Lost Books, inscribed. I'm not good at selling books, but I love giving them away! Unless I get super-famous, I'm never going to make money.

ETA: The copy of Lost Books has been claimed.

Congrats! And I hope you feel better. <3

The cough is all but gone, so I'm technically better. It's the fatigue that's hanging on and getting in the way. My body can't seem to get enough of sleep.
