I've been colossally lazy where updating is concerned. The weekend in London was a nice change of pace; I met up with birdsflying and jainas, and I spent most of Saturday hanging about Brixton Village Market, mostly because my friend and host, Vinay, was running an afternoon workshop in one of the empty shop-spaces there. I had the best jerk chicken with rice and beans from Take Two! I recommend it if you find yourself there, and also the coffee at Federation.

Poetry Café: larger crowd than when I was there in December, but this lot were quieter and harder to read. A bunch of people straggled in at half-time after I'd already read, and they were mildly raucous at the back. For anybody who'd like to order Lost Books directly from the publisher, go here. Check out some of the other titles, too!

Life intervenes with things far too often.

But I'm glad you had a nice weekend and the reading went well! :)

Whereas tonight's reading in York had only a fraction of the people, but so much more heart. It's funny like that, sometimes.

I really wish I lived in an area where there were readings and events like that fairly often! But, alas, I do not.

Aww. And I'm glad it went well! Do you usually do a Q & A or discussions with your readings?
