There is no sight more beautiful than Boston Harbor out my plane window.
Seriously, I've always loved the feeling that, up until nearly the very last moment, the plane is going to land on the surface of that glittering, silver-blue water. It warms my chilly autumnal soul.

We're in Worcester now, at lifegivingsword's parents' house. Tomorrow is Harvard Square, followed by an evening in Somerville with friends for dinner and the Girlyman concert. Life is good.

I'm glad you had a good flight.
Have fun tomorrow!

I'll give a full report! We're leaving for the city soon.

Yes! It's like that landing in San Francisco. Just amazing. (Except we have dark green water being the Pacific ocean.)

OMG, you're right, it is - when I landed in SF in December last year, that sort of crossed my mind :)

Yes, Boston Harbor is lovely from the air. I haven't seen it in a few years.

I'm sending good feelings in your direction, to a place where I spent some good times in my life about 25 years ago.

This place is heaven to me. I love it. And it seems so many others I know love it, too. That may be what makes it so special.

I will. As ever, I'll be blogging it!

It'll be sad not to see you *hugs*

Sydney airport is something similar, though my reaction is probably slightly different, as I'm usually having a panic attack because I can't see the runway. :)

Water below a plane calms me, for some reason.

Likewise Brisbane, coming in across Moreton Bay (over Peel and St Helena Islands, which always gives my archaeologist's heart a thrill every time). In bad weather, though, it can be troubling to see the mud flats of Nudgee Beach race up to meet you!

I've never flown to Australia. One day!

Give them a hug for me! and enjoy your stay in the States :D

I definitely will! *hugs* James's mom is in the kitchen, and his dad is getting home from a business trip this afternoon. I will tell them you said hello!
