Seer of ghosts & weaver of stories

(You are very much not forgotten)

This is the dullest update in the history of ever.
Status on the first draft of my final Ph.D. chapter: it's up to 3,000 words of b.s., as opposed to just 1,500 words of b.s. I'm already over my total word-limit anyway. At this point, it feels like overkill. Sadly, I think it needs to be at least 5,000 to 7,000 words of b.s. in order to make sense.

(Let's check in for a second, though: that means my thesis to date, edition and all, totals over 110,000 words. That's really insane, isn't it?)

Tonight is Seán's birthday, which means dinner and then drinks.

I'm dreading the thought of carrying the two printed final copies down to campus for submission in December, even with use of a bus for most of the journey...

My M.A. dissertation wasn't too severe, either. It was only 20,000 words. Actually slightly over...

YOWZA. Don't lose that! But yayayayayay you're on the final chapter, so you're close to done! And then you'll have a book and a piece of paper that says "I Know Stuff!"

Good grief! That is long! Mine came out to just under 80,000 words...

I'll probably end up taking the age-old route: lie about it by about 10k :-D Under, of course.

Wow. That is impressive!

Congrats on the progress and enjoy your evening out!

Wow, that's impressively long! Congrats on being so close to done!

But I'm sure the revisions are going to be hell on wheels.

Way to go on the dissertation progress!
