Slightly bigger and better publication news:
A chapbook-length collection of some of my newer poems, Devil's Road Down, will be published by Maverick Duck Press in September.

(Not to be confused with my book-length collection, Lost Books, which will be out from Flipped Eye Press in Winter 2010.)

Some of you were wondering what the difference between a chapbook and a collection is; essentially, a chapbook is only about a third to half as long as a book - i.e. Devil's Road Down is somewhere around 20 pages, whereas Lost Books will be in the range of 50.

Congratulations! That's great news indeed!

Thanks, darling *hugs* Your icon still makes me smile, after all these years. Years? Wow. I've known you for a while now. I really do have to get my arse to Ukraine, somehow...

Wow, I've never realized it's been years too XD

I can only hope there won't be any need for antidotes when you come to Ukraine XD

I'm so immensely happy about your publications! You so deserve it! (And I still have time to kick my amazon account into submission so I could have the nifty volumes on by bookshelf)

It's been about three years, maybe a bit longer? That counts as years in my book *g*

Well, they won't be out for some months yet, so you have time.

Neither can be bought just yet, but I promise I'll let you know when they can :)

I think Maverick Duck is one of the best names for a press I've ever heard. Ever. It sounds ridiculous, yet...flash.

That is excellent news! Congratulations!

Congrats!! That's super exciting!

Will I be able to get that and your book in the US? :)

When they're available, absolutely - Maverick Duck is based out of Pennsylvania, so that'll be no problem. Flipped Eye, although based out of the UK, is willing to ship worldwide, and most of their books are also available through Amazon :)

Awesome! Thanks for the heads-up!

Don't worry; I'll definitely be making helpful posts when they go on sale. I doubt you'll miss it ;)

See how professional I am in this comment:

Ooooo. *makes grabby hands*

Hee! Your professionalism is greatly appreciated and very cute.

I guess I'll owe you two now ;) You're next on my recreational to-read docket when I get home.

Poets rarely tend to get going before the age-range of 26-30ish, I find. It's because there's a hell of working the fringes to get through - and even at my current coordinates, I'd say I'm still in hell ;)

I'll be in Boston from 30 September till 6 October this year, actually - I'd love to meet up for coffee :)

The chapbook should be available roughly a month before I get there, anyway - and of course I will :)

That is brilliant news! Congratulations. :)

Remind me to add your story to my rec list. I just this morning saw that you finally posted it!

Oh, how brilliant! Congratulations! <3

Do let us know the details when you get them. I'd love to get the chapbook when it's out!

Will do :) There will be links to wherever buying can be done.
