Dublin, Day 1
My flight got in just before noon. After checking into Avalon House, I spent the afternoon running around with copinggoggles. I'm not sure how I missed that Wilde statue in the park when I was here last June. We walked all through that park!

My schedule for the week looks like this:

Tomorrow - Trinity College Library, run dialectal stuff on MS 71

Tuesday - More of the same, as needed to wrap up

Wednesday - Kill time till flight leaves at 8 PM

Thursday - Rylands Library in Manchester, run same stats on MS 895

...I feel so tired already, though. I somehow don't feel up to this.

You would love it here. It's a very peaceful city, somehow, which is why I'm annoyed that high-stress work brings me here...

From the pictures I've seen, there are some really gorgeous parks over there! And an Oscar Wilde statue? Cool!

Oh, your schedule looks packed. Get some rest; you can do it! :D

I slept for 13 hours last night because I knocked myself out with drugs *thumbs up* All the fic-writing these past couple weeks has not been kind to me...

I used to work in a building on Marion Square, and there were mornings (when I wasn't hurrying not to be late) that I would walk through the park just to see that statue of Oscar. It was such a touchstone for me, somehow. I still miss it some days.

I love the detail of the rings on his fingers!
