...that? Was an honest to goodness nine-hour job!
I sorted out my poetry archives, which included removing all the poems I'd ever posted in locked posts on this blog (with the exception of a handful of silly ones) and relocating them to the .doc vaults. Discoveries made in the process:

  • I now have almost a decade of work stored on this machine (2000-2009).

  • 2000-2002: I did a lot of experimentation with form and barely capitalized anything.

  • 2003 was an incredibly transitional year; in it, I see the beginnings of what I've become.

  • 2004 saw some more experimentation, although not as drastic as before.

  • 2005-Present: Consistent style, or sequence of styles, that seem(s) to have stuck around.

  • From 2000 until the present, I've written just over 270 poems. Might as well call it 300.

  • Since I first started submitting my work in 2005, 31 of these have been published.

If I hadn't mucked through everything and taken stock, I probably wouldn't have been able to come up with such numbers at an offhand guess. It was a lot of work, but fun :)
