Moo.com does gorgeous business cards!

Nice!

I had to fix the image, because apparently uploading from my mobile app has the effect of the image posting in way too large a size to actually show *facepalm*

And I love your icon too. In fact it's giving me ideas! Now that I'm FINALLY starting ever so hesitantly to paint again.

I'm so happy to hear you're taking up the brush! *hugs*

I love your icon, both the quote and the subject, especially that particular portrait.

Always wished, Peter O'Toole could have played him in a biopic.

...I may be missing some context here, but who is it that O'Toole could have played? Apologies for my confusion.

I love your icon, both the quote and the subject, especially that particular portrait.

Thank you!

Always wished, Peter O'Toole could have played him in a biopic.

I've never heard that proposed before. (I don't think I've ever heard a Leslie Howard biopic proposed.) That would have been interesting.

Yes, he was so low key--didn't behave like a "movie star", I suppose they figured no one would know who he was. But I'd think everyone would have heard of his dramatic death in WWII.

The more images I look up, the more I agree O'Toole would've suited.

Ohhhh I live the designs!

I've got the covers of my two full-length collections represented, the covers of my two chapbooks represented, and then the odd inclusion of an iris and bare feet for good measure.

Oh, my word, don't they though!

So evocative! If those don't announce "Poet", I don't know what would. Not to mention the narrative element is so compelling, anyone give these, will certainly KEEP them.

Sorry you are poorly. I hope now that you're home, you aren't trying to overdo. Take advantage of the rest for books and movies. Feel better and be out of pain as soon as possible.

Looking back, I see you've asked for movie suggestions. My vote goes to "They Might Be Giants" (in spite of a hanging ending) and "Strings", a marionette film unlike anything you've seen or expect.

I had them printed on the high-grade ("Luxe," I think they call it) cardstock, too, so as to make sure I'm not only giving them away wisely, but, as you say, that people will be more likely to hang onto them ;)

I'm fascinated by puppetry in film ever since La double vie de Véronique, so I will check that out!

Don't bother. I just up and decided to send you a copy of "Strings". But would you email me your address again so I'm sure I have it correctly?

Sorry, I missed this! I'll PM it to you.

Oops, sorry. My comment was directed to sovay's icon of Leslie Howard at the top of the string.

Ohhh, sorry *facepalm* I didn't look far enough up.

Those are very pretty!

I've never had creative cards to hand out before, but I've gotten to the point where I really need them. I hope they're a worthwhile investment!

They are just lovely.
