"Fragment" will be appearing (alongside a reprint, already, of "Ivy") in the next Battersea Review. I'm glad; they belong together.

On my behalf, as well as that of optimegessit and smithandco1830: *wonderful*. Like twin stars.

Please give them my sincerest thanks.

(And my thanks to you for that email. It was a comfort.)

I'm picking up the pieces.

...and rearrange them in new beautiful ways, as Alexandra Cummins says in "On Cut-Up" in "Mandragora", 2012...
My warmest wishes, friend. I'm doing the same, or trying.

My biggest regret is not purchasing the special vellum-bound edition of the collection when it was only five hundred pounds from the publisher. As you can see from the link, when copies come up on eBay now, they are...unattainable.

Oh, I don't know. Apart from price, I'm too much in love with the crumpled silk of the regular edition to consider vellum...

I have a weakness for vellum-bound books, I fear.

I agree about the creamy or golden vellum of the XVI-XVII century, doubtful about modern, dark-stained bindings, although one I own (a reprint of Sabini's leggi criminali, 1751) has a delicious scent.

Sometimes facsimile reproductions are almost as good as the real thing...

Congratulations!

What, you wrote a poem called "Ivy" too? Great minds, and all that.

I did, in fact. It just appeared in Not One of Us #50, and John Benson has kindly assented to let it be reprinted online already. I had not known you wrote a poem by the same name until I checked some of my co-editors' recent acceptances at SH. Great minds indeed!

"Fragment" will be appearing (alongside a reprint, already, of "Ivy") in the next Battersea Review.

Congratulations!

John was very kind to permit this.

Congrats!
And on the reprint of "Ivy" and the two being together! Hooray!

They were a pair I'd written without realizing it :)
