Good evening, America!

We're staying with my in-laws while our new visas get approved at the UK Border Agency outpost in New York City. We rolled into Worcester, Massachusetts about two weeks ago, at which point I promptly got some kind of horrible throat and sinus infection that involved a fever and lots of trouble breathing for right around a week or so. I've been much better since the weekend, and, as a consequence, we've been social with a number of lifegivingsword's old friends (including tashahal). I've also experienced a resurgence in my obsessions with little white pumpkins and excellent microbrews.

Tomorrow, we're heading for Albuquerque, New Mexico to visit my father and some others on my side of the family until October 10th. The last three days of that trip (October 7th-10th) will be spent in Las Vegas. I've never been to Nevada before.

If anybody is in or near Albuquerque or Vegas and would like to meet up, say so!

Glad to hear you're feeling better! And, your trip sounds rather epic - enjoy the Southwest!

Out of curiosity, will you be back in Worcester by the end of October? I will likely be in that area myself for a couple of days, and would love to offer you a cup of tea.

We will be back in Worcester from 11 October until 15 October, at which point we go to Baltimore/Pittsburgh for a couple of weeks, and then we're back again by early November :)

Eeeep. I'm glad you're feeling better now!

Everyone else in my family is sick now, though. Oops!

Ick, sinus infection and fever doesn't go well together at all. Glad to hear your stay in the US has improved since then. :)

Enjoy the southwest!

We're leaving Albuquerque this morning for Las Vegas. It's going to be a very long drive...

Wow. Any idea how long a drive it is?
