As a member of the Outer Alliance, I advocate for queer speculative fiction and those who create, publish and support it, whatever their sexual orientation and gender identity. I make sure this is reflected in my actions and my work.
Have a poem: "Cold Covers." Hamlet/Horatio subtext, anyone?
As for "The Word for Love," that's got shades of Rumi/Shams; it was printed in hard-copy in Issue 12 of The Liberal last year, and I shall be cruel and make you chase the back-issue (or perhaps I'll post it, if you beg prettily enough). In the meantime, my protagonists in "Answer Me," Carl and Sinuhe, become lovers under extraordinary circumstances. The story I've submitted to Shine anthology, "The Legend of Lyric," is about a lesbian couple coming out of a rough patch against the backdrop of a changed world. I do make sure queer issues and identity are reflected in my actions and my work, you had better believe it. My bisexuality is an integral part of who I am. And I'm forgetting "Journeying" in Mythic Delirium 20!
(You've got a lot to choose from where my repertoire is concerned, in other words.)
ETA: There's also "Liberty," another Shakespearean shennanigan that ran in Behind the Wainscot back in 2007. If I've forgotten anything else, let me know...
