...that was the single fastest response I've ever gotten!

An hour and a half after submitting them, "Eye for an Eye" (that's the new poem, strangely enough) and "Bluff" will be appearing in the October issue of The Houston Literary Review.

Wow. That's impressive!

Duotrope says they're a pro-rate market, although the Intent to Publish statement that they sent me says nothing about payment. Hmmm. In either case, I surmise that it's a good publication. We shall see!

Hmmmm, might want to check into that payment thing. Regardless, good publication, to the best of my knowledge, and WOW, what a turnaround time!

Color me impressed, definitely.

Thank you :)

Congratulations! That's wonderful.

I find that replies to submissions tend to come in batches - say two or three in a week. And I notice that they seem to all be the same: either all rejections or all acceptances. It's kind of a funny dynamic. I guess it's an acceptances week :)

I find that this happens as well, & it's very bad when it happens the wrong way. Glad you're having a good batch of responses!

About three weeks ago, I'd had a rash of a few rejections in one week. This balances it all out!

I'm glad I decided to take a look at Duotrope yesterday; I'm not sure I would've found it otherwise.

Whoa. That is fast!

Congrats! :)

I love reading about all your successes--congratulations!!

Thanks :) I still enjoy your photos and con reports!

Thanks. Good to see you had a good time at the con!

Ooh, how awesome! An hour and a half, that's crazy fast.

So far, definitely, yes!
