Here. Congrats to all nominees!

(What gives me a sort of shiver is that Pam McNew's poem from Sybil's Garage No. 5, in which I was also published, got nominated; it's realizing the searchlight passed over your general vicinity and didn't see you! Perhaps next year. I should join the SFPA, but money's still very tight. I need to cut down on my academic memberships...)

ETA: Which does remind me, yes, that I'm still nominated for the 2010 Pushcart anthology and have no idea what the outcome is. Supposedly, that news pops up around April-time. This is going to be an interesting year!

One way to make sure more SFPA members see your poems without needing to join them is to join their mailing list, presuming you don't already follow it, and send the occasional emails there, notifying of relevant poem publication. You can join at some future time when it's more affordable.

Hey, thanks for alerting me to the mailing list!

You're welcome! I wasn't sure until this post that you *weren't* following it before. Lots of new market opportunities get posted to the list, so it'll be useful to you for that too.

I wasn't. I didn't even know the list existed. It's when things like this happen that I realize the true extent to which this Ph.D. has dominated my life for the past two and a half years. I feel like I've been shooting myself in the foot where my writing is concerned. It's frightening.

Perspective! You've been having a whole run of good publishing news lately when it comes to your writing. You've been doing really well on it. Just because you weren't aware of still more resources for it doesn't mean you haven't been making good progress.
