The photo of the Obamas is so moving and intimate. Thank you for this and the other links.

Hmm, what would happen if God sued us for fucking up His Earth?

I'd ask Him to demonstrate proof of ownership.

And a Voice spoke in the Wilderness: I LEFT IT IN MY OTHER ROBE POCKETS.

Thanks, particularly for the link to the campaign photo. Man, I just really want that man as my President and that woman as my First Lady. Beautiful compositionally, and really moving.

Me too, me too, and me too.

Awwww. I love that picture of the Obamas! So sweet and sad...

They're just so together. It's inspiring.

Do you follow FiveThirtyEight?
As poll aggregators go, it doesn't get any better.

I think someone has linked it to me before, although I didn't become a regular follower. I'll keep an eye on it!

Thank you for sharing, darling. I am utterly in love with that photo.

There are so many that have been memorable, but I'd say this one trumps them all.

As much as I don't agree with the guy's politics, I feel a little bad for Joe the not!Plumber. The entire world picking apart his life right now. And yeah, he owes back taxes and the plumbers' local has a right to be pissed at him, but how many average lives could really hold up against that level of scrutiny?

(That photo is gorgeous, btw.)

All I know is, the more that media sources dig, the more his having been planted there to stir up trouble comes off as intensely dodgy. Which I expect from the McCain campaign as it is, but still. The media could have spent the past week on far more productive pursuits.

I'm all about there being mostly Obama leads in the battleground states, but since when has California qualified as a battleground state?

I wouldn't really call it a battleground state either, but you'd be surprised at how many conservatives there are--lots of rich farms in the north and the central Valley.

Well yeah, don't I know it. But we pretty much always go blue. Except for Reagan and Schwarzenegger, apparently. Unless I'm totally wrong. Which could be true. It's been known to happen.

I imagine it'll go Obama. I'll wonder if it doesn't!

What really kills me after looking at the polls is that Louisiana, after all the lubeless ass-ramming they received from the Republican party over the past five years (Hurricane Katrina, whut?), is still voting REPUBLICAN! Just how freaking BLIND and STUPID are these people?! Do they just not care?! *HEADDESK*

Yeah. You got me on that one. I have nooo clue!
