ahahahah! Nice one....I should do the same with the XVII cen!

OMG LOLHOCCLEVE.

I would show that to my diss director, who loves Hoccleve, except that the thought of explaining lolstuff to him quite frankly boggles my mind.

Chaucer, Gower, Hoccleve, Pearl-Poet...I can't believe I left out Langland and Lydgate! Must remedy this later.

Thanks for doing Lydgate! I had intended to include him, but forgot. And I intend to add Langland to this lot.

Hee, my favourite is the patronage one =)

Nice! Post em over on [info]medievalstudies if you haven't already!

SNORK! Lovely, lovely. And dorky. I love the dorky. *Grins*

Dorky? Me? *innocent look*

I heart my Pearl-Poet and his big, wacky, apocalyptic dream-vision!

I had fun. However, I've just realized I forgot to do Langland and Lydgate. Boo.

Only I forgot Lydgate and Langland, bollocks. Oh, well - more fun for later tonight!

Haha! I love the third one.

Hoccleve was the fun one, yes *g*

Ahaha! This is awesome.
I will have to save them and send them to my husband. :)

From top to bottom: LOLChaucer, LOLGower, LOLHoccleve, and LOLPearl-Poet.

these are excellent!

Thank you for sharing. ^_^

My pleasure :) My only regret is that I forgot to do Lydgate and Langland! Ones to add later this evening when I'm home, I suppose...

Wonderful! Especially the patronage picture... *gg*

Hoccleve just looks so pathetic in it.

I just experienced paroxysms of laughter.

That was mostly the point ;) Glad you got a chuckle out of them.

My next goal is to do a good one for Langland, because he makes my life hell sometimes, the bastard.

this is great. normally I hate these things, but in the medieval setting it is ever so funny. these are particularly successful when they do medieval culture in the pics using the net-slanguage. thanks for posting.

I think manuscript illuminations are especially well-suited because they often act as visual non-sequiturs themselves, or have strange captions/marginalia floating about as it is!

That icon of yours makes me smile *g*

You are made of awesome. Can I borrow one to put in my user info?

Sure! I have no problem with it, as long as you credit/link back :)

Those are wonderful! Do you mind if I crop "I can has patronage" for an icon?

No problem - as long as you credit the caption :)

Oh, GLEE!! Those are awesome. :)

Many thanks - and I'm about to follow up with a grand finale, since I promised folks I'd do Langland, too ;)

Lovely. Much appreciated :D
Just thought I'd let you know that I'd like to steal the Hoccleve. Will credit where appropriate!

Many thanks! They were fun to do.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Awesome!!!

I've got to think of some others. Maybe Lydgate, but I find him so boring that I haven't had a flash of inspiration for him.

Time for an update to the Legend of Good Women. You deserve your own entry in it.

Oh, my. I never dreamed of such an honor ;)

(Friending you back, by the by.)
